House Training A Dog: Steps To Successful Dog Toilet Training

steps to successful dog toilet training

Dressing up a doghouse does not have to be a long and stinking process. In fact, a successful dog bath can be done in a few days if you get it right.

My Springer Spaniel Muggins was only 8 weeks old when we brought her home, but since we immediately focused on toilet training your pupppy, we never had accidents. On the third day he went to the sliding glass door and hit her with his little white leg. I opened the door, trotted on the lawn and crouched down. It's as easy as possible to train a dog.

My current jumper, Ducky, has learned to walk through the doggie door into the yard to do his thing at the same time. We were accident free in a few days.

The training of the dog bath has nothing to do with the baths. It also has nothing to do with rubbing a dog's nose with urine or shit, as the old-school dog training suggests. Dog bathing can be done in easy steps:

Step 1: For easy puppy training you need to watch your dog as much as possible. Dogs tell you when to urinate or shit. You can walk or complain. You can start to breathe intensively. Careful observation of your dog not only prevents accidents but is also the first step in learning the proper habits for the toilet.

Step 2: Take your puppy outside after lunch and every half hour (for puppies) and every hour (for adult dogs). Many dogs are released immediately after eating. Have fun with it is a good training strategy. Regular removal of your dog reduces the risk of accidents. You take your dog out when you are sure your dog needs to go. Your dog does his thing, so apply step 3.

Step 3: If you want fast results, you need to compliment them. Congratulate your dog galore when peeing or shitting outside. I want to go crazy with praise. This is not the moment for decency. If you want a home without urine or feces, you have to clap and yell, "What a good pee." (Note: You do not have to call it a pee.) Dogs are not interested in what you call it, we tell Ducky, "Squat down." Use healthy treats and you can offer your dog or puppy a treat every time he makes his bath products outdoors.

It is best to train your dog in his bath when his pet is still a puppy, because if you wait until he is older, you have already learned some bad habits that are very hard to break. Essentially, this part of the puppy's education is to teach your dog whether to urinate or have a bowel movement. Here are some basic tips for getting started in the dog bath.

Set an acceptable range

For dog bath training, you must set a permanent excretory zone and note the exact times when you should take your puppy into the zone. These moments are shortly after he wakes up (even after a short nap), has eaten his meals and snacks shortly after he has taken him out of his box before falling asleep and every time he moans at night. If you bring him to the designated area, stay with him until he has finished his elimination. Offer praise as soon as it is over.

Use positive reinforcement for better results

If your pup urinates or kills where he should not, do not punish him with harsh words or physical violence. Dog bathing requires patience and positive reinforcement. Instead, clean the area immediately, being careful not to leave any traces of the odor of your dog. Although he may smell there, he will think that it is acceptable to "let go" in this area. After cleaning the bazaar, ignore your dog for a few hours. Only contact us if you are positive.

How to communicate effectively

Remember that a puppy does not speak your language. Teach him how to teach a child. Keep in mind that what looks like very simple instructions can be very confusing to him. Consistency and patience are the essential factors for effective training in dog grooming. If you tell him to 'go into the pot' and then go 'poo' on another occasion, the puppy may not understand that you're hearing the same thing. Always use the same words for each order and ask all family members to do the same.
